My Coke Rewards

One of my favorite rewards programs is My Coke Rewards. All you have to do is save the points codes off of any coca-cola product that you purchase and enter it online to earn points. Then you can redeem your points for rewards. My favorite drink is coca-cola, so I accumulate points pretty quickly. My favorite reward is a coupon for a free 12 pack of cokes, but there are many different things to choose from. If you drink any coca-cola products, you should check it out here.

Couponing Tip

If you are currently spending $1.50-$2.00 on Sunday newspapers to get the coupon inserts, here is a great deal for you. The Birmingham News offers a SUNDAY ONLY newspaper subscription - $20.15 for 6 months. That comes out to $.84 per newspaper. I just ordered two subscriptions for myself today. This makes it a lot cheaper and more convenient. I don't know about you, but I was getting tired of driving all over Cullman chasing down newspapers every Sunday! Since couponing has gotten so popular, the Sunday newspapers have been selling out very fast. Many times the newspapers are also missing some of the coupon inserts. From what I understand, if you have your newspaper delivered, it almost always contains all of the coupon inserts. I do not think the Sunday only subscription is offered on The Birmingham News website. You may need to call to get it. I purchased mine directly from a distributor in Cullman.

Money Saving Tip of the Day

Disconnect your land line phone. Do you really need it? I have not had a land line for several years now, and I don't miss it at all. My husband and I both just use our cell phones. We have cable internet, so there is no need for us to have a land line. This would help you cut back on your monthly expenses a lot!

Swagbucks is one of my favorite websites. Instead of using Google or Bing as your search engine, use Swagbucks & you can earn free stuff! I have gotten several Amazon giftcards & other gift certificates by using this website. All you have to do is search just like you normally would, and you earn swagbucks. You can also complete other offers, take surveys, watch videos, take polls, etc. to earn swagbucks. The surveys are an easy way to earn swagbucks quickly, and they only take a few minutes to complete.

Walgreens Photo - 7 Days of Deals

I love it when Walgreens does their 7 days of deals. Yesterday they were offering a free 8x10. I have taken advantage of this offer a few times. Today they are offering 50% off photo books. Ever since my daughter was born, I have been buying these photo books each time I have her picture made. It is just so much easier than putting prints in an album. Children's Consignment Sales

This is my first post to my blog! Since it's time for the fall/winter consignment sales to start in Cullman, I thought this would be an appropriate topic for my first post. If you have children, one great way to save money is by selling the clothes they have outgrown in a consignment sale, and buying them more. Hopefully by doing this, you will break even and not have to spend any money on their "new" clothes. I have an 8 month old, so I did this at the spring/summer sale, and I loved it! There are so many barely worn name brand clothes at these sales. You would really be surprised. The prices are very cheap, which is the most important part to me. There are several upcoming sales in the Cullman area. If you do not live in Cullman, maybe your city has these types of sales too. I have listed some of the sales below. You receive 75% of your sales. I am not sure if there is a fee to consign at this sale. I couldn't find that information on their website. I was able to find my daughter's Easter dress at their last sale. I had just looked at the same dress at Belk the week before. It was a white smocked dress, and I got it for $8! This is a more upscale sale. They only accept boutique and name brand clothing. This is a great sale for church clothes and dress clothes. The prices are a little higher than other sales, but the clothes are nicer too.

I LOVE this sale! I bought my daughter's matching stroller & car seat with extra base at this sale before she was born for $75! I had picked out the same exact set at Babies R Us, and was able to get it for a fraction of the retail cost. I also remember buying a pair of Children's Place blue jean shorts for her at the spring/summer sale for $1! They have very nice clothes at this sale, as well as many big ticket items. This has been my favorite sale so far.

This is the oldest sale in Cullman that I am aware of. It is also the biggest sale. They have tons of clothes, but they definitely have the most big ticket items of any of the sales. If you are looking for a car seat, high chair, stroller, play yard, toy, activity center, etc., then this is the place to find it.
